MP-X Multi-Application Solid Carbide Drills


The new MP-X programme has been designed to provide consistently high productivity over multiple applications on diverse machines. The MP-X drill ranges will reduce machining costs whilst maintaining the quality of hole finish. The MP-X programme offers 4 ranges of TiAlN coated drills to standards DIN6537 K & L, in solid design and with internal coolant holes.


MATERIAL
Micrograin carbide for an excellent combination of hardness and toughness, resulting in high wear resistance and longer tool life.


LENGTH:
Available in a choice of short (DIN 6537 K) and long (DIN 6537 L) lengths
and in both solid design and with internal coolant holes.


SHANK:
To DIN 6535 HA.


FLUTE GEOMETRY:
Strong web design gives excellent cross-sectional strength and facilitates chip evacuation.


COATING:
Multi-layer Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating gives
• improved stability of cutting edges
• outstanding wear protection
• high hardness properties
• high toughness and oxidation stability
• resulting longer tool life and higher productivity.




COOLANT FEED:
Available with internal coolant holes to improve cutting effi ciency and chip evacuation, resulting in higher productivity..
POINT DESIGN:
140º point angle with good centring capabilities and low thrust force design, suited to multi-application drilling.
